Natal to be affordable

Microsoft's upcoming motion sensor device, natal, will cost as little as $50 in order to boost sales, according to games analyst Michael Pachter.
In response to rumours that the Natal system would cost up to $150, Pachter added “My guess is, talking to my hardware specialist colleagues at Wedbush, it will cost about $5,”

Pachter then went on to say “I’d be very surprised if it is more then $79 and I think it’s going to be $50. Microsoft’s not trying to make money on the device – they’re trying to get everybody to have the device so that they can sell us other things and eventually sell us a lot more Xbox 360s.

“My call is $50. I think that’s where it’s going to be launched.”

Natal, due in the autumn, should get a concrete price, name and date at this year's E3 show.
